I started as a greenskeeper at Tianma Golf and
Country Club, Shanghai, China, in 2002 at the age of 18. Due
to my diligence and passion in golf, soon after the club
management gave me the opportunity to service members at the
driving range and to learn golf at the same time from the
head coach.
By 2005, I was an assistant to the head
coach and started teaching juniors. In 2006, I was selected
by the China Olympic Committee as coach of the Shanghai
Special Olympics golf team. I took the USGTF Level III
training and certification course in 2008, and got
certified. Since certification, I started to also teach
adults at different skill levels, not just juniors. I found
the lessons learned from the USGTF to be the starting point
for all my success in China.
